We provide assistance to orphans and other disadvantage children from selected homes

We take care of 420 orphans,abused and abandoned children from different centers and homes around Gauteng. Without food, comfort, shelter, or education, there is little hope for the future of the orphans. In South Africa, the most conservative estimates say that between 3 and 5 million children have been orphaned, 2.5 million of them by the AIDS pandemic alone.


THANDANANI wants to deliver that hope to the children.Our current projects are:
  • Feeding Programme

    We have a monthly feeding schemes for the kids where every month we must have a budget of R8 500.00 for groceries.

  • Educational Care

    The organization offer educational resources as well as basic care to ensure the basic right of children are not undermined, normally refers to “sure to learn” project.

  • Educational Trips

    We believe in expanding the vision of our children and creating a platform for self-actualization and discovery.

GOALS WE HAVE ACHIEVED THUS FAR

We managed to buy summer and winter school uniform for 90 children in Thuthukani Center in Ivory Park .We also took 70 Orphaned children to the Elephant Sanctuary on 1st December 2007 on AIDS day .On 2008 August we also bought 76 winter school uniform for AIDS Orphans. On 2008 February we bought a dough machine to be used to bake bread for breakfast and lunch. We also bought four ZOZOs for the accommodation of the children. Moreover the years we were funding the centers with R5000 every month to reduce hunger at the centers. December 2009 on the 5th until 9th we took 60 orphaned children to Durban for educational trip, we went to Shark Board Crock World and Huletts Sugar. On 11 December 2009 we took 50 children to the Lion and Rhino Park. We bought summer and winter school uniform for 105 orphaned children in January and June 2010 , and we also took 60 orphan children to Kruger National Park on the 4th until the 6th October 2010 for educational trip and we also took 60 orphaned children to Pilanesberg National Park on the 10th of December 2010 for educational trip.

In 2011 we bought 55 school uniform for Thuthukani children and in 2011 we also took 50 children from Deflire Save Home to Manyeleti Game reserve in Mpumalanga and we did soup kitchens of R5 000.00 every month for the centers. In 2012 we did monthly soup kitchens to various homes and centers giving them toys, blankets and food. December 2012 we took 50 orphaned children to Dinokaneng Game Reserve in Pretoria. In 2013 we did soup kitchen to various homes we spent more than R2O OOO. We also donated clothes ,shoes, blankets to Thuthuzela home in Alexandra. In 2014 we did soup kitchens to various homes and centers, we also took 50 orphaned children to Maropeng and Sterkfontein Caves for educational trip. December 2015 another group of children where selected to go to Gradle of Human Kind in Maropeng & Sterkfontein for Educational trips.

In 2016 we took 45 children and 10 adults to Pilanesberg Game Reserve in Pretoria. December 2017 we took 45 children to the Drankenburg Mountain and The Shark Board for educational trip. December 2018 we took 45 children and 10 adults to Mpumalanga in Kruger National Park. They slept in Skukuza Rest Camp and ate nutritious and delicious meals at Cattle Baron and they saw and learned about wild animals, wild dogs, Giraffes, Zebras etc. They also went to Bourke’s Luck Potholes, BlydenCanyon Forever Resort, Three Rondavels, Eco Caves, Pinnacle Rock, Gods Window and Lisbon & Berlin Falls. January 2019 we bought summer school uniform for orphaned children.In May 2019 we bought winter school uniform for 65 orphaned children from Arise and Shine Hope Center and Thuthuzela Home. August 2019 we donated blankets, sock , school shoes and hats for 55 children Arise and Shine Hope Center and Thuthuzela Home .In 2019 we did monthly soup kitchens of R8 500.00 to various centers and homes. In 2020 we are currently running a monthly soup kitchen of R8 500.00 for various centers and homes.
